BOOKS I PLAN ON READING THIS FALL

 Dear Reader,

Welcome to my first ever blog post!
It's almost September and since I am an autumn person, this season change makes me the happiest. Let's get in the cozy fall mood with a fall To-Be-Read! 🤎☕

Oscar Wilde - The Picture of Dorian Gray

The center of my fall tbr books is non other than a classic: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.

Fall to me means foggy skies, rain sounds, darker moody days, raw moments, warm drinks and cozy candle lit rooms. Classic movies have all of these qualities and I can't wait to dive in a classic book and get in the mood even more!

Since I have never read a classic before, I thought that this short - and as other readers say "accessible" - story will be the perfect start for me in the classic's world.

Charlotte Bronte - Jane Eyre

One word: women.

There's nothing that I love more than when women are different and are brave enough to embrace it. They fight, suffer, love, lose and win all for a little hope of freedom and respect.

This novel is loved by millions and I hope I will be one of them. I plan on annotating and tabbing the hell out of this book!

Can't wait to get to know Jane's story and be a fan out of the million others.

Lucy Foley - The Paris Apartment

What is fall without a thriller / mystery novel?

The last books of this genre that I read were The silent Patient by Alex Michaelides and Verity by Colleen Hoover and let me tell you I love every second of them!
There's something in creepy stories and putting the pieces of puzzles of a mystery together that will always excite me and keep me on my toes.

This book - as most of my reads - is a TikTok trending one so I really hope BookTok won't let me down with this one, since I always trust it.

Jennifer L. Armentrout - From Blood and Ash (1st book in the series)

Ah my heart skips a beat for fantasy books with a romance subplot.

This is the book that I started my fall tbr with, since I started reading it yesterday. So far I am absolutely obsessed and I am hoping with all in me, that it won't disappoint! I am loving the characters and twist and turns and information that we're getting as the story progresses.

When I finish this book - a couple days from now - I'll write a book review post about it, so we'll get back to her soon....

Ottessa Moshfegh - My Year of Rest and Relaxation

The cover. The title.

There are some books that just grab you attention and never let go of it. The first time I saw this cover and read this title I had absolutely no idea what I'm seeing. Then I read the back of the book and even-tough I still didn't know what I was looking at, I was hooked!

Really looking forward to read this unique story of a quite unique woman.

Sally Rooney - Conversations With Friends

Rooney is the master of raw writing.

Normal People by Sally Rooney is one of my top favorite reads. It was so life-like, awkward, slow and raw it absolutely spoke to me.
I expect the same dynamics from this story, but this time about 4 young people making mistakes and being humans.

Many people don't like Sally's book because she doesn't use exclamation marks, but I promise if you give it a chance and let the story - and characters - carry you, you can get used to it easily.

Thank you if you reads all the way through!
Have and amazing day, see you soon 🤎
